Anja Reserve is a freshwater lake and a woodland area which is situated right at the base of a massive cliff and is a unique cultural and environmental preservation site. The reserve is home to a great number of ring-tailed lemurs and serving both as a reserve and a flourishing town, it is a wonderful example of how nature and humans can flourish and co-exist. Visitors here at Anja Reserve have to be accompanies by a local guide and there are two main trails that you can choose from. The shorter trail is a fairly easy one and can be completed in an hour or two however, for the longer trail; it can take up to six hours as you need to hike up the mountain.
