Maison De Jules Verne Reviews & Ratings

  • I grew up reading and watching Jules Verne books and movies. It was really interesting to see his house and some of the artefacts from his life there. Many of the exhibits have descriptions in French and English but if you want to read any of his manuscripts and letters you'll need to brush up on your French.

  • Interesting to a point but didn’t really inspire me. filled with many artefacts from the famous authors life, fortunately it won’t take you 80 days to walk around it.

  • If you are visiting Amiens then don't miss going to Jules Verne's house, it has an interesting exhibition with an audio tour in several languages. Many of his books have been made into films such as Around the World in 80 days and 40,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

  • looking for medals? i’m a collecteur and got ya !

  • Interesting place to visit if you have an interest in Jules Verne's life and work. We were using English audioguides which worked well although I did not listen to some of the later room guides as it was taking too long to listen to the narrative without gaining too much extra info unless you were super interested in JV and his editor's working relationship.
