Damrak is a large avenue that runs between Amsterdam Centraal in the north and Dam Square in the south. This avenue attracts numerous tourists with some of the bizarre Amsterdam attractions like the Sex Museum and Medieval Torture Museum. Both sides of Damrak are lined with bars, pubs, souvenir shops, and historic buildings, offering something for every type of tourist. The ‘dancing houses’ here have become the identity of this neighborhood. Wander along Damrak because it is worth catching a glimpse of touristy Amsterdam.
