Dutch Funeral Museum In Amsterdam Reviews & Ratings

  • An interesting visit, with a nice café. The museum is small, there is an available Dutch only audio guide. Most displays have English and Dutch notes, but some don't. Admission is covered by the Museumkaart. If you've made the effort to get here, be sure to go for a walk in the cemetery on the grounds. Lots of interesting grave markers, from the plain and humble to the ostentatious.

  • The painting in the hall is very depressive. Arrangement is smooth but we had to walk out without jackets to the drink room after the ceremony in cold.

  • This was cool. Very small museum dedicated to looking at funeral rituals in the Netherlands. Sensitively handled. Peaceful setting. Nice cafe.

  • Romantic and cool, but the museum is small

  • A small museum about funeral tradition for different religion. It’s hidden behind the cafe, and you need to enter through the cafe.
