I great fun museum. Come with friends. If you like history and beer. This is a perfect mix of the two. Line ups weren’t that long and you get in fairly fast. The gift shop at the end has some great souvenirs. I picked up some cool bottle openers.
Amazing feeling to visit the Heineken Experience where it all started and revisit the legacy of such big brand. I've visited many breweries but the Heineken Experience tops my list. Don't be bothered by the long queue at the main entrance as that only assures you of the following this place has. Guess the experience comes as part if the Amsterdam plan. The tour staff were well aware and talked us through each detail at length. While I was all ears about the brand's history, logo and the beer making process; my wife got busy clicking the brewery and yes its highly recommended. The real highlights of the experience were one the elevator that took us up and down to the tasting hall. It was a glass elevator from which one could see the electric lighting and two the 3D show. At last the beer tasting experience was neatly curated with the art if serving the Heineken. Well I'm a teetotaller but my Co-tourists informed me that the beer was really fresh. Highly recommended to visit! Proost !!
One of the must go places, if you are in Amsterdam. It is usually crowded and you may have to stand in queue for sometime but it's worth the wait. The beer tasting would be ultimate experience and it's fresh. I would recommend visitors to visit early to ha e awesome experience as you loose the flavor during rush hour.
Having bought prepaid tickets 2 weeks in advance, set at a designated arrival time, I did not expect to be standing shoulder to shoulder with other visitors for more than 15 minutes in narrow winding staircases. Several congestion points during the first part of the tour resulting in similar experiences. However later on a lot more space around us, fine interactive exhibits, and excellent service from staff.
If you're between 18-21 you might enjoy the tour, the energy and the experience. The nicest thing is the self bicycle video at the end and the couple of beers that you get (included in the ticket). The 4D "ride" is not really a ride
