Heineken Experience, Amsterdam Reviews
You have to go in realizing that this is not a brewery tour but an experience about Heineken beer. You’re not really seeing beer being made. Here’s the secret if there’s a long line. Run across the street to the ticket booth by the canal, buy tickets, then go get in the line for tickets already purchased, which was much shorter. Fun, informative and interesting. They put some effort into making it creative and the bar where you are able to enjoy some beer is much more comfortable than a cold tasting room. Outside of bottle neck crowds going up the stairs, the rest was Very nice all around.
The tour was really good for the price. You don’t get as much as history or hands on insight into their brewing process but it makes it interesting and is definitely worthwhile. Make use of your time and discount by purchasing your tickets online. The beers they provide are more than adequate but visit the souvenir shops and get your souvenirs engraved for a small fee. Worth while for sure!!
The tour was very nice and they did the tour in English, but offered it in other languages. Everyone was very friendly and it was very interactive. The tour offers 2 free beers at the end, but ended up having 4 each because people were giving away tokens and because they were doing a pouring demonstration and after the guide did the demo he gave the beer away. We purchased tickets ahead of time, which I could recommend because it was very crowded. We bought the first tickets of the day, which I would also recommend because it is the least busy time!
I would highly recommend this place to visitors even if you don't drink! it is such a cool experience, they take you threw the process of brewing, you get to see the CEOs horses in their stables, you get to watch the bottling process! then there are a bunch of activities along the way and fun photo opportunities! the end has a bar that offers you two drinks for free given to you as a wrist band at the entrance. If you don't drink they offer their alcohol free Heineken as well as water. There are multiple areas along the way that you can buy gifts and souvenirs! this place was really really cool! I would highly consider visiting!
What can I say, about the Heineken experience...it was nothing short of perfection. I did the Vip experience and it was wonderful. The tour was wonderful. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere and setup was neat. The amount of beer they give you on the tour is way too much. It great! Usually on these tours I'm left wanting more but this tour was a grand time.
