Charming place! However I never got the good room. Low water pressure, hair dryer exploding, 4 small bed for myself :/ I would still recommend this place because it is in the center of Amsterdam. Perfect for youngsters who want to visit and have fun :)
Great hotel right in the Red light district. Our room was on the ground level and we found it to be pretty quiet considering it being in the middle of all the action. Close to the train station. They will even hold your bags before and after checkout
Very great hotel. You can skip the breakfast, nothing special. Small rooms but very cozy
I have stayed at the Luxer three times now and even cancelled my usual July trip this year because I couldn't get rooms here. If you can, book early 🤭 The rooms are small, but safe, clean, well appointed with ensuite bathroom. I love the showers. Again the showers are small so if you are a chunky lad like me, you'll not be having any sexy time fun in there, but that's a small price to pay. Being around the corner from the red light district means you are always in touch with the nightlife. If you can, visit the pizzaria next door
Smallest room ever, for quite the price. Like honestly, it was the tiniest room I've ever been to. The bathroom was of an unusual shape so you had to do some funny movements to get to the shower - I am tall. Unfortunately the cleaning lady kept taking my electricity card from its holder (I spent six consecutive nights here, 3 of which I had to go and ask for a new card when I got back to my room). One time housekeeping took my towles and didn't replace them with new ones. The particular lady didn't really get what my problem was the next morning because her English definitely wasn't the greatest. Nevertheless she ended up giving me a couple towels which was useful. :) One time the cleaning lady knocked on my door when the 'don't disturb' sign was definitely hanging down the knob just to ask if I was leaving that day... So other than that I had a great time, general cleanliness was great, and guys at the reception desk were extremely pleasant and helpful. In the room there were instant coffee pockets replenished almost daily as well. And the location was great and I got a surprise care package when I checked out so it's almost 4 stars, but like what professional knocks on your door when it says "do not disturb."
