Houseboat Museum, Amsterdam Reviews

  • Can't say it's spectacular, but most important you will get an idea how people live in houseboats. On top of that lady on cashdesk will answer any possible question you have. Really deep knowledge of topic. Can't say it's place which you must visit, but those who interested in locals life will deep dive in atmosphere of life on the boat.

  • Small and nice. People there are friendly and would be happy to show you how a boathouse looks from the inside

  • What to expect: look for a boat on the canal, there will be a small sign (kind of easy to miss) that says smth along the lines of "Boathouse Museum". Inside is a nice, small, cozy... boathouse... what you'd expect it to be, really. It's usually not crowded, you could take a good look of the interior for anywhere from 5-15 minutes.

  • Interesting view of life on a house boat. Good displays and videos. I was surprised how roomy it was below deck.

  • A fascinating look at life on one of Amsterdam's many houseboats. Very unique experience, and quite informative!
