Natura Artis Magistra, Amsterdam Reviews - Write a Review
It's a good Zoo. Being in the centre of Amsterdam, it's located in comparatively small area with small enclosures. There is a play area and restaurant which are nicely located. Children will enjoy it. Not comparable to the huge ones which you would see in Asia or America. You can spend half day here. Or even full day with kids playing etc.
Best Zoo I have visited. The enclosures were so up and personal great for little ones and photos. They have a kangaroo walk in area! A little aquarium not much but still awesome to go through. Great spots for picnics all over the zoo.
A lovely zoo in scenic surroundings with plenty of different animals to see. With many of the enclosures you can get quite close to the animals (no touching though - obviously!) and in some areas you can actually walk through the enclosure - there's a jungle habitat that has several Pygmy Marmosets who come right down the trees - very up close and personal! If you're a visitor to Amsterdam and have purchased an 'I Amsterdam Card' your visit to the zoo will be free. Overall, a lovely way to spend a few hours during an afternoon.
An amazing zoo and a great find in the middle of the city. The animals seemed very happy, active and well cared for and the visitors can get quite close to the well kept habitats. The areas for the animals are scenic and you are often only separated by water or inclines. There is a large collection here which includes an aquarium, insect house, reptile house and butterfly park. However, the various eateries are incredibly bad value for money - bring a picnic or eat before you come.
Great and fun medium sized zoo! Easy to navigate with clear signs at all pathways. Admission is reasonable and favourite exhibit was the red pandas. They're just adorable! One of the reasons I wanted to visit. Enjoyable experience overall.
