Nieuwe Kerk Reviews & Ratings
I was like, damn Jesus! Yo crib is awesome. You live here for real? Fancy, well located and good old structure. How much is the rent? This is Amsterdam, you know. Those mts² ain't cheap, dog. Anyway, looking forward for your birthday and Santa's. I loved the place, by the way
I was pretty surprised by how many euro's it cost to get into this church... there is no place to light a candle or otherwise pray in this historic space... but there is a beautiful piece or three of art and the price comes with an audio tour that I wasn't patient enough to enjoy once I realized how commercialized the space is...
Always worth a visit for the world press photo exhibition. Bring some strong nerves for mostly depressing but interesting moments kept in picture. Worth a visit!
The church is beautiful but it’s owned by private investors now that rent it out for functions. The have taken remains from the burial spaces below the floor and moved them to a different location in the city. Then the burial slabs were turned over so that the ground is more even for high heeled shoes to walk on. It’s always a shame to see these historic spaces prostituted out. The entry fee was steep as well and not a good value for what is offered.
I liked looking at the building and the audio guide was well done. Art piece wasn't much. A little less than 10 Euro for 35 minutes worth of time.
