Sexmuseum - Review
The Sex Museum in Amsterdam is a testimony to the intriguing and rather promiscuous lifestyle of the city. A storehouse for all things sexually stimulating, this museum does not even for a second submit to the banality of pornography, rather it contains artifacts and exhibits that creates an aesthetic appeal.
There are numerous statues of Mata Hari, Marilyn Monroe and other symbolic and iconic individuals associated with the genre. There is a rather comical approach to the museum and the exhibits will provide a number of wonderful photo opportunities. Located right in the heart of the city amidst all of the traffic and bustle, this quirky landmark is a must visit for all people.

Sexmuseum, Amsterdam Reviews
Really awesome museum! Everyone should come here because sex through history was certainly never spoken about at my school, so everything I saw here was interesting, informative, new and really fun! Was bigger inside than i thought it would be and was really well put together. Lots to look at! Takes 30 min - an hour to look around depending on if you want to look at and read everything. And at only €5 a ticket what a bargain!
Very small, it won't take you long to get through this place. If I remember correctly it was 5-10 euro to enter. If you are in the area, it is worth a visit. Sex is a taboo in some respects in the United States. Amsterdam seemed like a place where it not only isn't taboo, but it is embraced. The red light district is practically right around the corner. This place can get packed, but it's diminutive size makes the wait fairly short. Interesting place, probably will never go back, but I definitely don't regret giving it a visit.
I was surprised of how great this museum actually was. At first I just thought it was going to be a museum filled with sex toys and stuff similar to that. But this museum was very interesting and beautiful at the same time. Some of the pictures and items they showed was a bit extreme. But apart from that, it was very interesting to learn about how people throughout the different eras saw sex. Some of the paintings were very beautiful and some were a bit strange.
This filled with the weird, wonderful, and sexy! Some parts were really well put together (like sex through the ages and cultures) but some bits were downright awful (like the animatronic man in a trench coat that whistles at you then flashes you, repeatedly. The entire time you are in the room). We spent about an hour here, and that was really all that was needed. Fun, frivolous, and a scintillating way to spend a bit of time in Amsterdam.
Very crowded as it is a unique place in Amsterdam and for many people it's all about nervous laughing.... But if you take the time to look at every item and read all the information, you'll actually learn quite interesting facts about how sex was viewed on in the past and in other cultures.... It'll probably take 3-4 hours then And it will be € 5 well spent....
