Tropenmuseum - Review
If you are really interested about the culture and information about other countries, then this is the place you should go. The best part is, you can take your kid along and both of you will be able to learn a lot of things there. Though the museum has so much to offer, it mainly remains forgotten, but if you really want to understand Amsterdam and relish your visit there, you need to visit this old museum. This one was established in 1864 in Haarlem and then it got moved to this city and it has a lot of information available regarding some of the most exotic countries and their cultures in the world. You will be able to learn a lot of things here.

Tropenmuseum, Amsterdam Reviews
Interior is nice. Staff are very helpful. The exhibitions were underwhelming. Kinda like a budget V&A. But it's worth a visit. I really liked the Fashion Cities Africa.
Interesting museum that showcases sculptures, art, photos, etc. from around the world. Great for families. We came in half an hour before closing and the staff were friendly, suggesting to us a recommended itinerary. Admission is included with I Amsterdam card.
My favorite museum of all times. Try the kids experience! Where they take you on an “ aero plane” to Morocco! And you get to experience Morocco with the kids. It’s the best museum to learn about non-European cultures.
Winner! Fabulous inside spaces. Displays are interesting and examine multiple perspectives. Cafe is good, reasonably priced and ethically sourced. Worth a visit.
Modern museum with lots of interactive exhibitions, mostly about Dutch colonial history and the Dutch people. Maybe not the greatest for small kids, since there is a lot to read. We used the I Amsterdam city card to get in, which I would definitely recommend.
