Waterlooplein Flea Market - Review
It is a big outdoor market and is one of the best markets in the city. Though the market is mostly known for the best second hand products, you will find it interesting enough. This is the place which will provide you with an insight of the city and its people.
This is the market which is mostly associated with the youth culture of the city. You can get almost anything in here and that is the reason, it is so popular. The square was created in 1880 and since 1893; there has been a Jewish market. Now, there are over 300 stalls in the market and they can provide you things starting from trendy t-shirts, old clothes and military uniforms, canned spray paints and almost anything.
One of the biggest open markets of Amsterdam, the Waterlooplein Flea Market offers you a great shopping experience. Waterlooplein Flea Market, Amsterdam Reviews
Quite a small market, but filled with lots of vintage, antiques, unique items. Also many second hand vintage clothes that are actually nice. There's some food stalls and especially one that sells good fries and Snert soup(pea soup). Worth a visit if you like more unique items and thrift shopping for unique clothes
This is a open air market with a mixture of goods. I like these types of markets so my opinion may be a bit bias. I purchased a few things from different vendor and I felt there was a nice variety of goods and worth the trip.
If there was one place on the planet where you can find the exact thing you didn't know you weren't looking for. This is the place. Jam-packed with both artisan-crafted goods, and lost and found items available for resale. The market is a blocks long adventure in looking at wonderful works, and assorted knick knacks... I could have spent hours here, as well as more money than I could honestly afford. A flea market that pops up daily, with some amazing and unique vendors. 😊
Just a lovely café that serves some easy bites. It is located just as you enter the busy square where they sale everything. Food isn't too expensive but it is very tasty. I went for their speciity, role with smoked salmon. Definitely a good selection.
DO NOT buy a bicycle from the vendor at Waterlooplein Market. I received a stolen bike in terrible condition from this vendor. Following my purchase the bike fell apart within two weeks. Buy a bike from a real shop or even a homeless person before you look here. Beautiful city market with a lot going on but if you need a cheaper bike (which works) do NOT even try
