Alaska is so remote that one does not usually associate it to war. But it has veterans just like any other USA state. These museum seeks to remember and preserve their legacies, collect and exhibit artefacts and personal accounts, and to create immersive exhibits that help tell the story of these veterans. The exhibits are surprisingly interesting, with the usual ones on the Cold War and WWII, but also a story dedicated romance found in the arena of war, and of lovers waiting back at home.

  • One of Alaska's best kept secrets. This is the little museum that could. Jam packed with history from the War Between the States to Vietnam. Highly recommended.

  • Great spot, great guide.

  • Really great tours with loads of facts, anecdotes and jokes. The items they have curated there are one of a kind, lots of weapons and artifacts from the WW2 battles that took place in Alaska. Check it out!

  • Very nicely done.
