One of the newest Breweries in Alaska, Anchorage Brewing Company specializes in barrel fermentation and has decent offerings for its visitors. Their main beer menu includes Belgian style double IPA, two types of saison and a white IPA. What people really end up coming for though is the atmosphere, which is friendly and warm and lively. The only thing they have to eat though is a meat and cheese platter. On second thoughts, that is perfect finger-food.

  • The only bad thing about this place is that they don't do flights. Too many amazing beers to try without being too hung over the next day. From MN and we have an amazing beer scene. This place would rank #2 if not #1.

  • Beers are top notch. It’s a beer geeks delight. But I wish they offered smaller pours. And it’s not the friendliest place.

  • The place is nice, the beer glasses are great. Hate shaker pint "craft" brewerys. This place doesn't have that. But there's a lot not great about it too. For instance 6 out of 10 taps are IPA's. I mean come on, is this all craft beer is? That was certainly disappointing. Also the beer names... lame.

  • Super friendly staff, complimentary beer samples, delicious brews...and popcorn! Great spot to grab a brew post hike. Offer fun combo pours and flight tastings.

  • We came in and enjoyed our experience. Awesome interaction. Great brewmaster. The outdoor area was inviting. Just a really fun place to go.
