This is clearly a tourist trap but it is a good one. Besides, it is aimed as much as the residents of Anchorage as visitors to the city. On summer weekends 300 vendors from around Anchorage set up stalls over the 7 acre lot known as Lower Bowl. They sell everything from the freshest of local produce, second hand souvenirs galore, and exotic imports from every country around the world. The whole idea is to create an atmosphere of fun and carnivals in the city where the buildings are too widely spread out end you can't feed the crowd most of the times. The market has been going on for 25 years now and it gets better every year. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Anchorage itinerary 3 days.

Anchorage Market And Festival Reviews & Ratings
This is a massive tourist attraction and comes with certain pitfalls because of that. However, the veggie/fruit stalls are excellent and some of the local food stands are fantastic. A lot of the vendor stalls are typical tourist attractions, but there are a few gems. There is usually live, local music. When I go, I go for the food!
Fun every once in a while. Definitely mostly for Tourists, though there are occasionally some hidden gems. If you are lucky enough to find the GhostTown Leather booth then stop by and get yourself an awesome custom holster
Love this place! It just opened for the season. A good place to spend a day walking around enjoying the weather and and "window shopping" for that special or unique gift. It has an awry of items. I love the Local Artists that bring their talents to display and show their work for us to enjoy. O' and let's not forget the FOOD! Many varieties that show our diversity here in Alaska. YUMMY!!
Glad to see this market picking back up again! More tents than last summer. Fun good, music and of course lots of shopping.
Really neat and unique items. Reminded me of the shops at a Renaissance Festival. Lots of handmade items, original art, small family merchants. Found a few perfect souvenir gifts that aren't your standard gift shop replicates.
