The drive up to the resort is supposed to be spectacular, with many places to stop so you can take pictures for Anchorage, Cook Inlet and Mt. McKinley. Once you’re there, it is a pretty decent ski area. The highest point,Rendezvous Peak, is 1200 meters high, an elevation of almost 500 meters from the base area. This place is thought of as an economical or ‘ grass roots’ ski alternative compared to more expensive places around Alaska. You don’t necessarily have to ski. How about sliding down a snowy slope on a tube at the Tube Park? There are also various trails around the resort, perfect to hike in the summer.. View the trail map on the resort website. The four mile Rendezsous Peak is the most popular of them.

Arctic Valley Reviews & Ratings
Beautiful drive in the fall! Don't expect to find blue berries, they are picked clean before they get ripe. $5 parking at the top, so be sure to make the best of it and bring food for a picnic! Not overly crowded either, but we went just after the big tourist season.
I Love picking blue berries at Arctic valley but 5 mi before you get there your vehicle takes a beating on the unpaved road..$5 to park. Great activity for kids and dogs.
Love this place with a fierce passion. It's so beautiful and quiet. Just keep an eye out for bears.
The party at Arctic Valley was so fun. I brought the fun and the people of Alaska were so cool to be around. Great time and vibes
Great views, good hiking trails. Roads are pretty rough though, watch your speed going up and coming down.
