Hillside Park - Review
This park is basically a network of criss-crossing hillside trails. The hillside trails anchorage are not difficult to get around on, but they are quite fun, with lots of twists and bends. To get the most out of them, find a map of the trails online and walk them one by one until you’re all done. You get nice views of the Anchorage Bowl and the mountains. You might spot bears or moose. There are two access points - the Prospect heights trailhead and the Hilltop Ski Area.

Hillside Park, Anchorage Reviews
Awesome family place!! Both winter and summer activities offered. Staff is attentive, caring, nand helpful. Keeps the winters from being so dull!
Well kept, visitors need to do better about throwing away their dog poop though!
Great place to take the dogs for a walk or bring the mountain bike because there are tons of trails to choose from with maps showing the way alongside main trails. The trails range from east to difficult and the view from the top is beautiful. Great for cross country skiing in the winter too.
This park is okay in the summer, but it shines above most in the winter. The skiing trails are lovingly groomed when the snow begins to fall, and they are well cared for all ski season. There is a great selection of terrain for all skill levels, to include a nice, flat, oval for first or second time skiers, which is nice (behind Service HS). Many of the trails are also lit, which is nice around Dec and Jan when the days are short.
Great place for kids and a good trail head
