Kaleici - Review
Kaleici (Inside the Castle), with its massive stone walls encircling an ancient city, was the original Antalya. The expansion didn’t happen until after WWII, so if you want to know how Anatolia truly evolved, then this is the go to place. It’s a protected place today, full of charming little boutiques in structures that have endured since roman times. It has structures dating from the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Ottoman and current Turkish republican times. The Kaleici encompasses the old Roman harbor, and it was for this benefit that the city was first established. The northern part (Selcuk and Tuzcular segments) of Kaleici is basically a zone of tourist shops and restaurants along the mazelike lanes. The Kilincarslan area is a little more tranquil and enchanting even as of now. Despite the fact that there are different passageways, it is best to enter and retreat the old quarter from enchanting Hadrianus Gate.
