A little less than two and half thousand years old, Phaselis, like the other ancient cities around the area, changed rules multiple times from the Rhodian, Persians, Macedonians, Egyptians then Romans, till it declined in the 11th century AD. It was once famous for its frangrant roses. Visiting it now, you’ll see a bathhouse, a theatre, and three beautiful harbours, which were the main reason for the city’s establishment. If you want you can camp here overnight and go swimming in the harbors at midnight. Snorkelling in the daylight is another wonderful experience; the old harbor, which extends into the sea, has become home to a whole host of marine life.
