A pinnacle of Gothic architecture, the Cathedral was at the time of completion one of the tallest buildings in the world, and still holds that title within the city. Despite having lost much of it’s original art, the cathedral is still a treasure. The star attractions are the Rubens paintings: Descent of the Cross, Elevation of the Cross and the Resurrection Triptych. Visitors often comment on the exceeding elegance of the building, the lovely stained glass windows, it’s beautiful statuary and the magnificent altar. It’s one of the world’s most beautiful churches.

Cathedral Of Our Lady, Antwerp Reviews - Write a Review
The most beautiful place in Antwerp, for sure! This Gothic style cathedral is probably the focal point of beauty in the entire city of Antwerp. It's full of intricate works. And I mean both on the outside and on the inside. Made out of stone, out of wood, painted - the cathedral has it all. Once you're inside and you're lucky enough to hear the organ play, you will be blown away by this experience. The tall style of the building and the organ will really shake you to the core and make you feel awe. Another great thing is the area around the cathedral, on the outside. There are many beautiful historic houses and it's the perfect place to feel and experience what the place might have been like back in history. It's definitely a trip that's worth doing for anyone. Even if you don't usually like cathedrals or churches or mass - you don't often get to see a gigantic monument of culture like this one. It's the real experience and will make you and whoever is coming with you remember what's possible for humans. If we work together, we can even build a giant, beautiful building to come together for hundreds of years.
The cathedral is beautiful to look at, especially from the outside, and definitely deserves a place among the highlights of Antwerp. The inside is quite nice too, but the clinically white walls feel just off. There are some nice works of art and you can even visit the catacomb (albeit a little one) but if you've seen some other cathedrals, this one has little new to offer. It has enough to justify its €6 entry fee, but you might as well just appreciate it from the outside for free.
Impressive Gothic cathedral. It's a masterpiece housing a large collection of paintings of most famous masters.
Cathedral of Our Lady is beautiful and full of treasures, painting from 17 century signed by Rubens and amazing woods ornements. The outside is also interesting and I love to sit on a terrace and enjoy the view.
Stunning cathedral. The painting exhibition is really incredible. So many Rubens!! Take your time to enjoy every single details.
