This eccentric looking building I s relatively new among the other museums, but it’s gained a lot of love quickly. It showcases the industrial spirit and history of Antwerp. The main collections are themed around Metropolis, Power, and Life and Death. The guided tour is amazing; so make sure to hire one. At the viewing gallery at the top, the views of Antwerp and surrounding areas are supposed to be fabulous. There are thousands and thousands of items on display.

Great place, all exhibitions are very interesting and quite interactive. It blends in a great way the old with the contemporary making a visit to this place really entertaining. The way this museum is organized and the way it's exhibits are positioned is really innovative. On the plus this place has a great view over the city and the port and it's a piece of architecture art by it's own.
In the center of the district 't Eilandje, you will find a unique riverside museum (MAS). This eye-catcher is built in red Indian stone (notice the "chopped off" hands on some of the stones), and has strikingly curved expanses of glass. The past few years, the quality of life has improved tremendously in this quarter, and the opening of this museum only helped this progress along. You'll find temporary as well as permanent exhibitions on every floor that often cover different themes. Now, I won't lie to you; I hardly ever visit any of the exhibits. But whenever I pass this architectural gem, I can't help myself from going all the way to the top. The 360° panoramic view is amazing. No other location in Antwerp will offer you this opportunity for € 0. You will have to focus on not getting any of your garments stuck in the escalators that would get you tied up in the end. This focus needs to last for roughly nine floors. In the meantime, you will get a chance to notice the constantly changing view of our magnificent city. The unique outlook offers a view of the town, river and our dynamic port in a single peep. The spiral tower symbolizes the connection Antwerp has with the rest of the world. Before you hit the road in order to grab a bite, beer, or both, I urge you to try to spot the mosaic skull on the square in front of the MAS.
A place must visiting in Antwerp. The building itself is very unique - modern, with waffle looking glass walls and surrounded by water. Quite picturesque. There is a museum inside with some historical exhibitions and some modern arts. However the hidden gem here is a free access to the roof of the building where you can enjoy a great panoramic view of Antwerp. The building is not super high, but still can see enough. It is situated 15 mins of very pleasant walk from the old town centre and is a easily accessible.
MAS Antwerp is a fantastic place for a wonderful view of the City Antwerp. Best of all is that the viewpoint is free! We also visited the museum part which only costs us 3euro's per person (
Great vantage point to view the sunset from. It’s totally free to go up to the top of the building. But get there early as there will be quite a fare bit of people there.
