  • Long stretches of fine sand beach. Park fee is $10 per car. Nice and plenty of beach facility, including restroom, outdoors shower, BBQ grill etc. We came on a afternoon partial cloudy day in October. It turns out we saw the most beautiful sunset in California for the past 20 years. Many people wait on the beach and on top of the Cliff upper parking lot to view this unforgettable sunset with expanses of red clouds all over the sky especially the couple minutes before and after sun sink into the far away ocean line.

  • Very down to earth Park Rangers that obviously love their job. Great with educating folks young and old. Beach was packed and the water was refreshing. Not too much seaweed and a relatively clean break. Best deal ever on cute $1.00 beaded bracelets from Columbia!!! Wish I got more 😁

  • A most beautiful beach. The walk along the beach is wonderful. You will meet many people walking their dogs. They must be on a leash though. Walk to the end of the RV park and there is a hand on the wall to high five!

  • Great place to walk and enjoy the ocean, the beach and the wildlife. Pavement along the Esplanade is great for those with mobility challenges. Bathrooms are minimalist but clean. Barbecues and parking for vehicles and RVs. Nice natural history museum. Great family beach.

  • I love this place. So much parking available. Even if the parking along the beach is full, the upper parking lot is quite full. And the long, long stairway that connects the upper parking lot to the beach area is a bonus if you're looking to get some exercise in.and lose some calories before or after eating. Speaking of eating, there are plenty of tables and barbecue pits. Just bring along charcoal and meat and you're good to go.
