It lies beneath the mountains Bukulja and Venčac, at about 255 metres (837 ft) above sea level, 75 kilometres (47 miles) away from Belgrade. The municipality encompasses two town and 18 village communities. Bukovička Banja Spa is located in the town. The town is situated in the Šumadijski okrug (Šumadija region) with the administrative center in Kragujevac.
