Amazing and inspirational place - great for a visit to see practical ecology/permaculture in action. Friendly, interesting. Offers a camping cabin and secluded camping pitches overlooking the water - with stunning views to the mainland. You will feel surrounded by and connected to nature.
Such an inspiring place, deeply moving to be able to see this at the start of Ludwig's epic journey into building a vibrant permaculture community, and in the restoration of this site into a fully productive, regenerative, active, growing in nature environment. So many ideas to comprehend, so many opportunities to be involved, so much beauty all around. And between all the energy and activity is the silence, is the bird song, is the wildlife, and their celebration of what is now, and what is to come. Will be following, and will be back.
Rubha Phoil is a stunningly beautiful environment with friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely people. It's a woodland campsite with access to the beach and amazing walks. There's diverse local wildlife and it's peaceful and relaxing with opportunities to learn about permaculture. I would 100% recommend it to anyone interested in camping in a beautiful natural place.
