All but one are in the province of Gelderland. Its aim is regional cooperation. In 2011, 736.107 people were living in these municipalities combined (1,000 km²). The Dutch Plusregio's being abolished by law in 2014, the Arnhem-Nijmegen Metropolitan Area has been liquidated 1st of July 2015.
