One of Asheville’s most favorite shopping center the Antique Tobacco Barn as the name suggests, offers an array of stuff for shopping and souvenirs. People who are a bit of a vintage savvy may find this place a heaven which satisfies all their needs. The Barn spreads about 77,000 square feet and is in a huge warehouse and hosts about 75 dealers selling eclectic materials from the past. There was a major flood in 2004 which had swept away most of the materials but a great amount of effort was put in restoring and reclaiming the exhibits. An interesting place to visit with family and friends.

  • Fantastic inventory. Exploring requires days and more, which is an adventure in itself. Have made numerous purchases, including both new and antique furniture, to furnish newly purchased home. Could kick myself for not purchasing a book of sketches drawn by legendary actor Lionel Barrymore (aka Mr. Potter in It's A Wonderful Life) for a mere $25, valued at $500+ according to Google. Indicative of hidden treasures throughout shop. Staff is terrific, always willing to assist. One of our favorite antique shops in Asheville.

  • This is a favorite stop each time we visit the mountains. I have not found a more diverse offering of antiques anywhere. Mixed in are salvage items and it is obvious some are not antiques. All of this is housed in a warehouse big enough you could easily spend a whole day exploring. They recently added a small sitting area and a stand selling drinks. Don't worry if you forget the tape measure, they have several on hand behind the front desk. They also have delivery available if needed. Check them out, a perfect activity for a rainy day. If you have kids, give them a scavenger list and see who can find all the items. Enjoy!

  • The amount of stuff the Antique Tobacco Barn offers is next to nothing. I honestly never have any idea what I’m going to stumble across but I always leave with some new little treasure. Let me not forget the staff! Always so helpful and informative on all the booths and practically everything they contain. I always look forward to going back every time I’m In Asheville.

  • Fabulous place. I loved it. So much to see. Great stop and will go back. Prices were good too.

  • I love this place! I was searching for a particular piece of furniture and, unfortunately, started at the wrong end of the building but after around an hour I finally found the perfect item. It was quite a search but since it is like strolling through a museum the endeavor was quite enjoyable. The only thing to be prepared for other than the search concerns some of the pricing which can be rather hefty.
