Mc Cormick Field - Review

The home ground of Ashville Tourists, McCormick Field is a baseball stadium. The place is built with a beautiful backdrop of side hills and trees making it quite a charming place to catch a game. The stadium itself dates back to 1924 but the stands were built sometime before 1992 and holds a capacity to entertain about 4,000 baseball fans. A nice place to catch a game in season with family and friends.

  • An amazing place to see the tourists play. General admission has comfy seats for a minor league stadium. Great food and beer choices. Bathrooms are always clean. The tourist trap is a great place to get team merchandise. No complaints when we go to a game!

  • Nothing like a ball game. The facility is very nice. The employees are awesome. It's nice to have service at your seat as well. It saves you from having to leave the excitement of the game to go get food or drink. There are some decent lines at the vendors when I was there but it might because it was a packed house.

  • Just an awesome team and park to enjoy ballgames. Very family-friendly and the prices for tickets won't empty your wallet. Jersey nights, Thirsty Thursday (beer) night, and other giveaways make the kids happy and entertained. Went to the 4th of July game and the fireworks display went nearly non-stop for 20-25 minutes, and rivaled many shows I've seen around the world. Even various other nights when there was a fireworks display, it was a great show. This iconic team and historic ballpark are embedded as a big part of this city of Asheville. One of the best values for a night of fun.

  • Great little ballpark. Great family fun. Take the time to walk around and see all the great ballplayers who made there way to Cooperstown via Asheville. Do yourself a favour and get a soft serve ice cream in a souvenir helmet. I guarantee you will love it.

  • A park with plenty of history and big name players that played here would surprise most. Growing up, this was a definite go-to for a nice evening out. Under new management the team has prospered, as well as the stadium, bringing old & new fans more and more each year. The quality of concessions and fun things for the family has steadily increased each year. I love baseball & I'm forever fortunate that I've always had this all American experience right in my home town.
