The home ground of Ashville Tourists, McCormick Field is a baseball stadium. The place is built with a beautiful backdrop of side hills and trees making it quite a charming place to catch a game. The stadium itself dates back to 1924 but the stands were built sometime before 1992 and holds a capacity to entertain about 4,000 baseball fans. A nice place to catch a game in season with family and friends.

  • On a recent visit to Asheville McCormick Field reminiscing about when my husband ( then boyfriend ) pitched for the Baltimore Orioles Class AA 1971-1972 seasons at McCormick Field. His name is Ed Blake, Jr. I was treated like royalty. Both Chris Smith and Doug Maurer took the time to speak with me and my girlfriends about the changes and improvements to McCormick Field. What a fantastic place. So beautiful and I understand this past season was very successful for the Tourists. Good Luck in 2020. Go Tourists !!!!!!

  • Wonderful stadium in an awesome location downtown. Tons of local beer options, great food and really nice staff all around. This is what you want when you go to a good ole Baseball game. Just know that Asheville is busy and this stadium is popular so allow a little extra time and planning for parking etc! Nothing wrong with that though :)

  • Nothing like a baseball game! Friday nights are great with the dollar hot dogs and fireworks. The game was good, even though Asheville lost. A fun, family night. For those who don't know, The Tourists are a single A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

  • A great day at the Asheville Tourists game on Sunday! We love everything about this sports venue — the hometown team, the fun games during breaks, the food (try the cheeseburger!), the spirit of the crowd, and the staff! You guys are really dedicated and professional and it makes for a really fun afternoon or evening. Really proud to have this local sports team in Asheville!

  • Wonderful place to take in a baseball game. We also take our Veteran's there from the local VA Hospital, and we are shown all possible courtesies with our various wheelchair patients. Very accommodating. Thank you Tourists!
