Commissioned by the railroad baron George Vanderbilt for the Biltmore village, the Cathedral of all Souls is a parish church. It was established as a member of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina. The church is quite small but beautifully decorated. The glasswork on the windows were originally hand blown but were later replaced. The steeply pitched roof, the serene ambience, and the chancel organ they all give a very English feel to it. The pulpit, lectern, high altar, bishop's chair, chancel furniture, pews, baptismal font in the northwest room, and the kneeling cushions are all original and authentic. A nice place to visit with family and friends.

A beautiful, historical, reverent place. The guide was full of knowledge about every area of discussions and questions. A walk around the back revealed a lovely little garden. The stained glass was beautiful. If you love history, you'll love this.
