A wonder historic building well cared for. A great place to spend a night. From the amazing dinner and breakfast to the beautiful gardens on sight to the fantastic valley that it is set in, my night here was the highlight of my time in Japan. It might not be as polished as other Ryokans that I have visited, but it is definitely my favorite which I will be visiting again.
Such a beautiful place, it's like entering another world. Calm, secluded and with an impeccable service. We had a room with a private onsen. A great experience! Breakfast and dinner are really special and abundant.
The traditional Japanese building was impressive. The hot spring was so good. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staff were generally kind. However, it was a little uncomfortable at night because the restroom was common.
The best experience I've had in Japan when it comes to accommodations. The staff are wonderful and thoughtful. The rooms are what you expect for a building this old - worn and creaky. It just adds to the charm! The meals were prepared well, and the onsens were nice. If you expect shiny, new and polished, this is not the ryokan for you, but if you want an experience as if you lived there, you will find a home at fukuzumiro.
Amazing place! The hosts were brilliant. Make sure you select meals included as you're in for a treat. If you want a traditional ryokan experience, then this is the place for you. It exudes calmness and if you've calm here for a night or two from the frenetic activity of Tokyo, it's a welcome reprieve. They also have a number of onsens to use and males or females. They are super relaxing and you can feel your worries melt away.
