The Colonel John Ashley House is one of the oldest houses in Berkshire County. This museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house stands on 35 acres of land. The two and a half storey wood framed structure has a side-gable roof and a central chimney. The exterior has a wooden clapboard finish. The main façade is five bays wide with an elaborate central doorway. the typical 18th-century rural American architecture with furnishing and antique items is open for public viewing on weekends from Memorial Day through Columbus Day.
