Aspen Brewing Company is an attempt for reviving the craft beer culture of Aspen. There was another brewery of the same name that presumably produced a lager to quench the thirst of the mill workers of the 19th century. The new brewery opened in 2008 and has quickly become a landmark of this town. The craft beers here are broadly divided into two categories; those produced all year long and those that are produced according to the season. You can discover the methods of perfecting these brews through a tour of the brewery. Besides, you can talk directly to the makers to learn more about their business. This is one of the spots in town where visitors and locals can unwind with the Aspen pint after a long day.
- The brewing facility is located close to the airport and not the taproom. You need a prior reservation for a tour of the brewery.
- Happy hours are from 5pm to 7pm every day.
- You can hire a car to get here.

Kind of a cool twist on local beer as they have a full bar and creative cocktails. The menu is also beyond a typical taproom featuring daily specials, a lobster roll, street tacos, and small bites. It's a shame that liquor law doesn't allow them to serve growlers or crowlers but the plentiful well-crafted tap selections more than make up for it.
Great beers, mixed drinks and awesome food! We went to Aspen Brewing for a casual first night of a bachelorette weekend in Aspen. We walked in with NINETEEN ladies…count em…19! Their customer service was impeccable. Duncan was AMAZING and incredibly accommodating. He made their space work for our huge group on a Friday night. Drink and food orders were taken one by one at one end of the table, and by the time the other end of the table was ordering, the other end was ALREADY receiving their food and drinks. They were fast AND there were only 2 cooks in the kitchen. Their food is delicious and as silly as it may sound, their side salad may be the best side salad I’ve ever had. It’s clean and bright. Kind staff and good people. We'd totally go back...all 19 of us.
Nice little gastro pub. Beers were great as was the service. We didn't eat so I really can not rate the food. Stop in and have a beer while in Aspen
Walked into this brewery not realizing they have shortened hours in the winter. Waitress still seated us and provided great service. I will be back in the future!
The beer was good, but the service was atrocious. We got there mid-afternoon, and were told they were already sold out of 4 dishes. We ordered a chip and dip appetizer, and it took 35 minutes to arrive, and the chips were just small pieces and crumbs with no full size chips. It took 20 minutes after getting our drinks for the waitress to remember to come take our food order. The sandwich dishes we ordered also took a long time to arrive, and they just didn’t taste good, and certainly weren’t worth $16 per sandwich. The service was so poor the people at the table next to us left without ordering anything after being completely ignored for 20 minutes. The only thing that saved this from being a one star review was that the beer was pretty good.
