Buttermilk Mountain is best known as the location of the Winter X Games held in Aspen every year. This mountain has three skiing tracks of varying difficulties that test the skills of those who dare to venture on them. Training is also offered to beginners and amateurs. Family members can train together and enjoy a good training session. There are around six parks on and below the mountain where visitors spend their day skiing and carrying out other activities. Snowboarding is another major activity on this mountain. At the base of the mountain is the Bumps restaurant and on the top, is the Cliffhouse restaurant that is open only in winter. The two take care of the après ski culture of Aspen on this mountain. You can visit the mountain to ski or to observe the winter games in action.

Buttermilk Mountain Reviews & Ratings
We originally rented our equipment from the four mountains in aspen. I realized very quickly snowboarding probably wasn’t for me and we rented equipment for a few days. So while on buttermilk mountain for the day I went in and talked with Matt! He was amazing. I told him what I was struggling with he suggested skis instead. He quickly changed out my equipment and was very helpful explaining how the boots fit and how to put them on (which is very helpful)! He even gave me a quick tutorial on how to ski. Pizza and fries (I will never forget) lol. They even let us return the rentals there when we were done at the end of the trip. So we didn’t have to haul it all back up the mountain. I highly recommend!!!
This company was a lifesaver to me. Joe and Catherine couldn’t have been nicer. We rented skis, boots etc. from a service that delivers to your condo. They didn’t bring the right size boots but I didn’t know, never having skied before. One the slopes, in agony and tears, I went to this location to ask for help. They lent me boots and skis and didn’t charge me a thing. I was so thrilled and finally got the right fit. I will only rent from them in the future.
