Summer in Aspen magically translates to an evening show at the Theatre Aspen Hurst Theatre. This theatre captures the best of this town’s beauty thanks to its location, right in the heart of the Rio Grande Park with the Rio Grande Trail for company. Every evening in summer, locals and tourists flock to the theatre to enjoy musical performances. There are plays and family-friendly shows all organised by Theatre Aspen itself. Most of the talent displayed in each of these performances in from the town itself. Shows generally start from the end of May to the first week of September. Besides these, the theatre also lends itself to the Aspen Theatre Festival that is held every year around the first week of September. The Annual Costume Gala and Fundraiser for the Tony Awards winners is also held here in March.
