The museum located in the house built by one of the premiere residents and contributors to the town of Aspen is the Wheeler/Stallard Museum. This structure was constructed by Jerome B. Wheeler. Though he built this house, Wheeler did not live in it for long and was soon brought by Edgar Stallard. The Aspen Historical Society purchased the property in 1969 and converted it into a museum. The exhibits here showcase objects that have a connection to the multi-dimensional history of this town. The house is a marvellous example of the Queen Anne architecture style. The exhibits on display keep changing from time to time. Do check the official website before paying the museum a visit.
