The Cyclades (/ˈsɪklədiːz/; Greek: Κυκλάδες, [cikˈlaðes]) are an island group in the Aegean Sea, southeast of mainland Greece and a former administrative prefecture of Greece. They are one of the island groups which constitute the Aegean archipelago. The name refers to the islands around (κυκλάς) the sacred island of Delos. The Cyclades is where the native Greek breed of cat (the Aegean cat) originated.

  • ..very nice Islands but the last 40 years they don't respect their aesthetic values and the violate the environment building houses and hotels nothing common with the Aegean culture and civilization ..not to blame people but relevant institutions that they don't have strict rules to respec the Environment..if they continue like that and with this rate in the near future we will look at old post cards what was Cyclades...
