    • Yes, public restrooms are available in Athens but are fewer in numbers. You will find them in an underground station beneath Omonia, in Syntagma squares, and beneath Kolonaki Square. You will also find restrooms outside the Acropolis entrance. Cafes and restaurants in Athens also allow everyone to use their restrooms without any charges.

    • You can check the Plaka and Anafiotika neighborhoods. I am not sure about run-down buildings, but I am sure you will find old structures around here.
