The capital city of the US State of Georgia, Atlanta, has plenty of activities to do for kids as well as adults. The urban atmosphere of Atlanta has witnessed many significant events and festivals and still houses some of the best museums, parks, historic buildings, entertainment centers and many other interesting attractions. 1. Explore the world of art at High Museum of Art

High Museum of Art is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Atlanta. A leading museum in Southeastern United States, High Museum of Art stands as the 95th in world art museums. Founded in 1905, the museum was named after the High family. The museum owns a permanent collection of over 15000 artworks from different areas of the world that includes African Art, American Art, decorative arts and design, European art, folk and self-taught art, modern and contemporary art, and photography. One of the famous pieces of art here is the Auguste Rodin sculpture called “the Shade” donated to the museum by the French government.
