Thomas Wages, Atlanta Reviews - Write a Review
I wanted to tell you about my recent experience with your store and company as a whole. I had recently purchased two Morris Motley products (I've been searching for it for a while) two days ago. Within the first hour, I received confirmation emails about my order and that it would ship relatively soon. However, I was not expecting it to ship within the same day! I was blown away by your companies swiftness with getting my order taken care of. The shipping tracking was another great feat of your enterprise. Most companies shipping tracking is outsourced by a third party company that gives you vague conceptions of when your purchase will arrive, so seeing that was pleasant and refreshing. I came home to a nicely wrapped product along with a small card that stated "enjoy" on it. Having an experience like mine is far and few in between that I'm sure not all people are not accustomed to coming by on a daily basis. I wanted to personally thank you for your time and effort with my purchase. I'm pleased to recommend a company like yours to many of my friends and family. I'll be sure to visit your shop when I come to visit my girlfriend's family in Georgia as well. Until my next purchase, thank you again for this great experience. Best regards, Niko Frascone
I was in dire need of some appropriate clothing for a wedding I was attending the same day. Not only did Tom find me an excellent outfit (that I will wear in the future many many time) he did so quickly and efficiently while not seeming pushy. I will be back very soon.
Nearly 10 months ago, I walked into Thomas Wages in a panic, and told Thomas, "I have an interview for my dream job. I need a suit." I'm queer, and dress androgynously, and that means I have difficulty shopping for professional attire--mens suits are too large, women's clothes too feminizing. I sketched this problem out to Thomas and he set to work helping me figure out the right cut and styling that would suit my preferences. The piece he made for me was outstanding and beautiful, and now I can't imagine having anyone else do my suits--even though I've relocated to NYC. Thomas is attentive, creative and problem-solving, and truly willing to go the extra mile. He's had patterns designed from scratch for me, and really took to the problem of designing men's-cut clothes for a female body. And above all, he's a genuinely kind, enthusiastic and good natured human. You should become his client, because he treats them like gold. (And yes, I got the job!)
I contacted a number of tailors in the Atlanta area shopping for a bespoked suit for my wedding. Only at Thomas Wages clothier did anyone answer my phone call. After a moment Mr. Wages took the line and he enthusiastically discussed my ideas for my suit with me. This initial interaction characterized my experience working with him over the next month. At my appointment I was again happily greeted and we began discussing the specifications for my suit. The store is comfortable and very neat with a seating area in the center, fitting for the thorough examination of a multitude of fabric swatches. As I flipped through book after book of fabrics, Mr. Wages showed me examples of previous suits he had made to provide inspiration and hone in on what I wanted. When we spoke he listened carefully and attentively. The environment was low pressure, but task oriented, while remaining pleasant. WhenI asked for his opinion he offered it readily and without filtration emphasizing that his ultimate goal is to provide me with a suit that will serve me for many years to come. He challenged my vision respectfully, but I am a firm beliver that a good idea will stand up to scrutiny. I made my decision and we moved forward. When I came to pick up the suit it fit perfectly and I was totally satisfied with the result. The fit and craftsmanship are as good as I've ever known, To cap things off Mr. Wages made a call to a local tailor to have the legs hemmed in a few hours, saving us a return trip in the middle of the last minute rush leading up to the wedding. Not a word was spoken of any extra cost, true to his word that he would make sure I was taken care of in advance of my wedding. Our business was ended, as it began, with an earnest handshake. I whole-heartedly and without reservation recommend this business.
Thomas is incredible! He helped my new Hubby find the perfect suit for our wedding. It turned out great. They have a wonderful selection of fabrics and color options to select from as well as buttons and liners to compliment it. Thank you Thomas for making my husband feel taken care of and like a million bucks on our Big Day!
