Balsam Meadows Snow Park Reviews & Ratings
Great fun and a relaxed atmosphere. We got there around 10:30 AM, and there was still easy parking. However, it filled up quickly soon after. There is a bathroom, but it's RIPE.
Beautiful power lake. Nice short walk in and out.
Had a great time. It was snowing when we were there, so it wasn't super crowded, but even when it is crowded the people visiting are usually very friendly, more than willing to share their sleds, and just having a good time. For $5, you really cant go wrong. Just make sure to keep an eye on the youngsters, as wandering past the tree line can be deceptively dangerous, with a swift flowing, ice covered creek running nearby that you wouldn't even notice until you fell in if snow has fallen recently. There is a building with restrooms, but dont expect much. The main attraction here is the snow play, with 2 or 3 good, safe sledding runs and plenty of space for snowball fights, snow angels, and other assorted snow type fun.
Fun place for first timers heading to the snow, the drive ain't bad but don't forget your parking pass and a set of tire chains just in case. The day I went we didn't need them, but there was so many people showing up as the day went on so plan on arriving early and bring a sled and a shovel the fun is limitless.
This park was really great! All you need is a $5 parking permit. Kids had a blast and I will definitely be returning!
