  • You can drive in the gate before 8pm and you can actually stay as long as you want. The 6pm closing time is only for the information center, but the garden is accessible regardless as long as you get through the main gate by 8. Nice place. Still under renovation but plenty of space to move around. We went during sunset and there was no crowd and the weather was so pleasant.

  • Very nicely curated gardens. Large open spaces for roaming around and enjoying the nature. The new car park construction is underway and will increase the capacity of visitors to the garden. The theme gardens are awesome and have a large variety of thriving flora. Children's garden is good too. A very nice option for a day's outing. Easily accessible from the city. Highly recommended.

  • Great walk beautiful gardens. So clean plenty of parking. Amazing walk great for wedding venues and photography. Gardens are absolutely gorgeous in any season. Awesome for kids picnic or even romantic walks.

  • Nice large park for easy walking. Native Bush walks at the adjacent Totara Park. Cafe and Art exhibitions throughout the year. Very interesting, the themes gardens. Easy and plenty of parking. Toilet facilities spotless and plenty throughout the park. Easy access for people with disabilities.

  • This place is huge! We walked for almost two hours and didn't cover even half the gardens. The forest sections here are breathtaking, you feel like you're in another world. Plenty of places to have a picnic as there's lots of grass throughout. The rose garden was in full bloom when I went and it was gorgeous. Beautiful flowers everywhere. And it's free! The cafe was decent too if you want to get a bite to eat
