  • The Auckland Botanical Gardens are simply amazing. There's so much to do and so much to see, with everything so well kept and curated. There are also beautifully painted, hidden rocks all over the garden if scavenger hunts are something that you enjoy. I would particularly recommend the forest walks on the outskirts of the gardens.

  • The dr said to walk so I'm walking, winter may not be the best time to visit the garden bloom wise but still plenty to see and do. Parking at the main entrance is a little tight but work is under way to resolve this. Several out prices to explore to explore and a whole kids section for adventure and exploring. Toilets are also available and a cafe at the main entrance. The paths are nice and wide but comfortable shoes are still recommended as you could clock up a few km of you wanted.

  • Great place to visit in Auckland. It's free and got a good collection of plants. I am a big fan of botanical gardens and having visited a few such gardens in Australia I thought this garden did not match the Australian botanical gardens. But that apart it is such a nice place. The thing I particularly liked here was that dogs were allowed inside. A great sight to see people walking and playing with their dogs.

  • These gardens are every bit as lush as when I first visited many years ago. Although late in the season there are plenty of flowers and shrubs still looking beautiful. We also took a lovely walk with the grandchildren along one of the nature trails which we all enjoyed greatly. As a visitor from the UK I'm sure it will be just as nice should we come back again. Nice work Auckland Botanical Gardens.

  • Excellent gardens and lawns to explode with the family. Toddler loved exploring the different paths and gardens. Potter garden was good but could do with a tidy up. Love that it is dog friendly so we could take out dog with us for the outing. Has a dog off leash area at the bottom of the gardens linking up with totara park.
