Surrounded by lush forestry on the Manukau Harbour, the soft sandy stretch of the Karaka Park will let you take a leisurely stroll to the harbour to watch the rapid tidal flows from distance. During the ebb time, you can enjoy fishing from the Manakau Harbour which is the second largest of its kind in the country. The Mullets and Flounders are found here in abundance.

Karaka Park Reviews & Ratings
Great little spot for a pinic, then wander down to the beach . . .
Nice and quiet
Called in here Wednesday 15 March 2017, really nice spot, had a swim as was just passed high tide. There is one gas BBQ here too and a tree swing. As I was leaving Aqua Health (Auckland Council) were putting up signs advising not to swim as tests had come back positive for high fecal matter after last weekend extreme weather event 'Tasman Tempest'😮
It's nice place but some time have nice sea
