About Viaduct Harbour, Auckland
The Viaduct Harbour is where the major commercial and entertainment places are located. The residential places at the harbour ooze luxury while the cruise tours are the obvious highlights.
The local attractions at the harbor including the museums, restaurants and the number of events taking place here, makes this a rather special neighborhood. The annual Louis Vuitton Regattas, Volvo Round, the World Race stopover, the Auckland International Boat show and New Zealand Fashion Week- all are synonymous to this place.

Viaduct Harbour, Auckland Reviews - Write a Review
I had a six day stay. By day 3 I felt like family. Friendly staff who at times seemed to read my mind, beautiful breakfast and great guest amenities. Terrific on-site gym, pool, steam room! Your Auckland facility is top notch.
Unfortunately we arrived later than we were planning (airline delays). Had a fabulous stay (except for the view of the Microsoft office from our room), but everything else was a plus. Bed and pillows amazing as were the staff. Very pleasant dining experience, both for dinner and breakfast. Would highly recommend.
My stay was amazing. Everything from the gorgeous room, the amazingly comfortable bed and the huge bathroom. The turn down service was a fantastic surprise, little chocolate, a bottle of water and slippers by the bed. Breakfast was superb - the options included were very varied. The late night cocktails we had at the bar were served by a very friendly gentleman, and the nut platter served earlier in the evening at the bar was delicious. The only thing I would say is the room needed a better light over the bathroom vanity for makeup :).
Disappointed in this ‘high end’ hotel. Paid for a “balcony with city and water views”. Ended up with an internal courtyard view... apparently they define the fountain in the courtyard as a “water view” and the city view as, “if you look up over the top of the other guest rooms you can make out a building”. This sort of deceptive marketing is not befitting of a high end hotel, nor is the saggy mattress. Finally the ‘balcony’ is adjoined by the elevator lobby permitting everyone direct view into the balcony and room and requiring the shades to drawn for even the smallest bit of privacy. Only gets to stars because the staff was nice.
Firstly the rooms and facilities are outstanding and can't really be faulted. However there were two things that could have made my stay more memorable. Firstly i waited for 15min before someone severed me at breakfast and it wasn't because the restaurant was full! The second point i would make is the noise that you can hear in your room. My room was on level four and across the Road from the bus terminal. This made sleeping impossible from 4.30am in the morning, in which wasn't pleasant to say the least! With a hotel of this level you would expect much better sound deadening/insulation. I was told at the time of checking in that I had been allocated a premium suite (which you pay a premium price for), so it would be fear to say you would slightly higher exceptions. I've stayed at the Sofitel many-times, but haven't been in a room on that side of the building and hope that I never am again!
