Designed in the early 20th century by Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jeckyll, the Winter Garden Auckland Domain is a botanical garden loved for its Victorian-style glass houses that are home toexquisite flowers and an elegant court yard embellished by beautiful statues. The pool is a lovely addition to the garden and is pleasant to walk around. One of the glass houses accommodates tropical flowers while the other one cares for plants that need high temperatures.

Do carry your camera to capture the gorgeous flowers and the architecture of the place in your lens forever.

Winter Garden Auckland Domain, Auckland Reviews - Write a Review

  • A nice greenhouse and historical building that has been opened to public for close to 100 years. It's filled with various type of plants, orchids, ferns and so on. It smells fantastic with all the fresh flowers are makes for some nice Instagram shots.

  • Beautiful and tranquil glass houses to wander in and look at the well taken flowers plants. Outside benches to sit and enjoy the moments.

  • It's free, and lots of flowers and plants to see, my kids enjoy observing and educational. There's a cafe beside the gardens we usually order hot chips and a drink after walking around the gardens.

  • Drop by this fantastic garden and you will find yourself marvelling at the colourful botanical displays. Bring a book and sit and read on one of the benches conveniently tucked away amongst the foliage.

  • Beautiful place, but beware of the geese. They're borderline evil.
