About Easy Tiger, Austin
Easy Tiger is the ninth studio album by Ryan Adams, released on June 26, 2007, on the Lost Highway label. Although the album is attributed solely to Adams, Easy Tiger features The Cardinals as his backing band, with Adams stating: "The only real concept of this record was complete and utter collaboration." In an interview, Adams states that the album contains "very, very simple, very easy songs that, in my opinion, were written on the periphery of some more complex work." Easy Tiger marks the first appearance of both guitarist Neal Casal and bassist Chris Feinstein, following the departures of J.P. Bowersock and Catherine Popper, respectively. Following the album's release, producer James Candiloro would go on to join The Cardinals as the band's pianist and keyboard player. The album debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 with Adams highest first-week sales (61,000) and has sold 217,000 copies in the U.S. as of September 2008 and 500,000 worldwide. Furthermore, the album debuted in Canada, Estonia and Switzerland where Ryan Adams has never had an album chart before. "Halloweenhead" was #45 in Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007. In 2010, Adams would go on to release two further studio albums that stemmed from Easy Tiger's recording sessions: III/IV, a double album recorded prior to Catherine Popper's departure, and Orion, a heavy metal collaboration between Adams and producer Jamie Candiloro.Wikipedia

Visiting Austin for the day and a nice sidewalk stranger recommend this spot. I'm stoked they did because this place is awesome. Great selection of beers, awesome sandwiches, and a really laid back / gritty feel to the basement bar. Staff were very friendly and attentive with solid recommendations. Outdoor seating and what look like ping pong tables. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.
Great beer options and a knowledgeable staff make this place great. They have a bakery upstairs and a pub downstairs, perfection. Their pretzels and beer cheese might be my favorite things on earth, other than beer, ha. Also, they have solid snack or meal options, including vegetarian sausages. Prices are decent for downtown. I don't consider it cheap, but I do believe it is worth it. It is definitely popular, and deservedly so. Inside is somewhat cramped, fills up fast, but they have a large outdoor space too. Go get a friend, a pint and pretzel - you're welcome.
Beers were good. Service was really good. Pretty cool atmosphere. But for being a bakery their pretzels really sucked. The beer cheese wasn't good at all either.
Such a great kick back place to hang out in downtown Austin. We popped in a couple of times for drinks and the ambiance here is just perfect for that low key, want to catch up with your friends over some beers and bread. The beer selection is awesome. They do have coffee, tea and pastries. The croissants here are pretty awesome! The service is great, prompt and attentive. The ambiance is very casual, plenty of picnic tables to sit on and there are a couple ping pong tables if you feel the urge to get your game on.
Plenty of space for large groups. Indoor and outdoor spaces are beautifully designed. Bar seemed busy. Beautiful views! The staff was on point, but the drink i got was not. I got an iced chai latte with an extra espresso shot in it, but it seemed super watered down. My friends drinks also failed impress. Still a really cool place to hang out, just steer away from the coffee.
