Easy Tiger is the ninth studio album by Ryan Adams, released on June 26, 2007, on the Lost Highway label. Although the album is attributed solely to Adams, Easy Tiger features The Cardinals as his backing band, with Adams stating: "The only real concept of this record was complete and utter collaboration." In an interview, Adams states that the album contains "very, very simple, very easy songs that, in my opinion, were written on the periphery of some more complex work." Easy Tiger marks the first appearance of both guitarist Neal Casal and bassist Chris Feinstein, following the departures of J.P. Bowersock and Catherine Popper, respectively. Following the album's release, producer James Candiloro would go on to join The Cardinals as the band's pianist and keyboard player. The album debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 with Adams highest first-week sales (61,000) and has sold 217,000 copies in the U.S. as of September 2008 and 500,000 worldwide. Furthermore, the album debuted in Canada, Estonia and Switzerland where Ryan Adams has never had an album chart before. "Halloweenhead" was #45 in Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007. In 2010, Adams would go on to release two further studio albums that stemmed from Easy Tiger's recording sessions: III/IV, a double album recorded prior to Catherine Popper's departure, and Orion, a heavy metal collaboration between Adams and producer Jamie Candiloro.

  • This place is has a fun layout to accommodate many types, very laid back feel.. great lunch & drink menu selections. I was impressed with the cucumber & tomato salad.. the turkey sandwich was tasty as well. The service wasn't superb but she did well enough. I'll be back to visit again, for sure.

  • One of my favorite watering holes in Austin. The ping pong gets better the more you drink. And the bakery upstairs is perfect for when you get the munchies after, you guessed it, more drinking! It's a hip yet casual vibe that's cool, fun and relaxed. Whiskey selection is pretty good and the beers are great. Honestly, you can't go wrong here whether it's date night or out with friends!

  • This is one of the few great places along 6th Street. Their homemade Original Bratwurst on the fresh pretzel buns are a staple there and a must try. Normally menu items are inconsistent in quality at places like this, but this dish is a cozy adventure for your taste buds. There is a ping-pong table outside. Just make sure to bring your own ping-pong balls. Also, around November each year the Waller Creek Light Show gets set up right outside, and it is always enchanting to see. I'll attach a photo I took from it right bellow.

  • Visiting Austin for the day and a nice sidewalk stranger recommend this spot. I'm stoked they did because this place is awesome. Great selection of beers, awesome sandwiches, and a really laid back / gritty feel to the basement bar. Staff were very friendly and attentive with solid recommendations. Outdoor seating and what look like ping pong tables. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

  • I really enjoyed Easy Tiger! Our appetizer was delicious and my sandwich, the Corned Beef with mustard, was amaaaazing! Our server was perfectly attentive and very focused. I like how into his work he seemed to be. Fantastic food, superb service. Highly recommend this place.
