  • During the summer me and my 2 kids went on the Catalina Express from San Pedro to Avalon. The boat we went on was awesome we saw so many dolphins like 200 of them! How cool is that?! And on the boat it was really windy but it was okay. And the staff on the express was so kind! Will have to go on this express again to Avalon!

  • Catalina is phenomenal, if you go on your birthday its free with one admission adult. Lots of activities to do and lots of scenic routes. You will capture amazing photos and if your lucky you will be able to see some dolphins and possibly whales

  • 1st class upgrade is worth the price with better seats snacks and beverages. However the return trip was not so pleasant, we were asked to come back at 8:15pm for the 8:45pm return ship, but waited until almost 9:00pm to board. What's the point of waiting there for 45 mins with the cold and wind

  • Staff is nice. Drinks and snacks are available to buy. I was seasick and the staff helped me out with crackers and ginger ale. The San Pedro port was great--nice area to wait and has a cafe

  • I left out of San Pedro. If the main parking lot is full, they offer shuttle service from the other parking lot to Berth 95. They had plenty of ticket agents available to service you. Seating is offered as you wait for your boat to leave for Avalon but not returning to the mainland. The ride was about an hour. They offer non & alcoholic beverages & snacks. Be sure to bring cash because they do not accept cards.
