The reservoir serves twin purpose of supplying water and the park which has trails, a nature centre, boat launching area in the list of its facilities. The trails surrounding the park are easily approachable. You can go for kayaking and fishing in addition to the boat tour of the reservoir. The five mile walk around the periphery of the reservoir will bring you in close contact with nature as the paths clean and the rich flora and fauna surrounding the area is a splendid sight. A great place to relax and walk around.

Manasquan Reservoir Reviews & Ratings
The natural beauty of the landscape is the best part if this reservoir. You could settle on a bench and spend a peaceful couple of hours. You could also walk the trail. My advice is that you be aware that it is every bit of 5 miles for the entire loop. I only saw one bench to sit on if you need to rest and only one portable restroom. The trail is used by walkers, runners and cyclists. Also the occasional horse and rider.
What a beautiful park. Restrooms are very clean as are the grounds. We did the 5 plus mile loop around the reservoir with our son on his ADA electric scooter. The train is very well maintained and wide enough for groups to pass each other. The woods are full of deer so they are easily spotted if you're looking. The trails are good for jogging, hiking, biking, dog walking, and easy enough for an handicapped scooter. You will meet wonderful people on the trail along the way. Enjoy
Love this place. Great for hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, picnicking, etc. Very picturesque too. Saw swans, geese, other beautiful birds and butterflies too. The one thing that was especially good is that it's not buggy at all. I would have thought for sure it would be, but happily surprised that it's not. And I was there when it was super hot and humid.
Best place to run 5 miles without worrying about crossing the street. I don't mind driving 30 minutes to go run there. Very peaceful scenery
Beautiful lake. They have kayaks available to rent and hace ecology boat tours. Great walking paths. Playground. You can bike the path. Great spot.
