Tierpark Chemnitz, or the Chemnitz Zoo, is a zoo in the city Chemnitz in Germany. Established in the year 1964, this zoo is home to more than 1000 animals of 200 species. Spread over more than 10 hectares of land, this park is also home to many rare and endangered animal species from all over the world. Initially most species reflected the nature of the Soviet Union but later the zoo spent a lot of time into breeding of many endangered species. Today, a few of the animal species here are tigers, lions, leopards, horses, boars, hyena, deer, and many more. Also located here is a game reserve that is spread over 35 hectares of land and features animals of 15 European species.

Thr Zoo has a discount offer for students. It is not a big zoo, but enough large to visit with family members. The children will love the zoo. There are many animals like zebra, flamingo, beavers, lion, tiger, birds etc. You can even pet the goats! I liked that section. They take good care of the zoo animals as it seemed to me. The security is also good. There are public toilets too. But, the lion is so old! And skinny! Except that, i liked the zoo very much.
This is a nice Zoo. It is not the nicest Zoo I have ever seen, but it still is a fun place for children to see wild animals.
I think it's very nice there. Today I am with a partner and child on site. Everything was clean, animals look well-kept. The complaints I can not perform Dept. It is clear that there are no major events taking place there and there are not enough funds for the conversion. Who wants to help you come over there or donate.
Nice zoo. Cheap entry and very well laid out. In places, the enclosures are in need of some renovation.
Animals looked so sad. Park and enclosures were very overgrown. Lion was skin and bones :(
