Mines View Park - Review

A good place to start your quest for gold, the Mines View Park is perhaps the most popular place in Baguio. The observation deck of the park offers stunning panoramas of the Amburayan valley. Approximately 5 kilometers from downtown Baguio, the Mines View Park overlooks abandoned copper and gold mines of the Benguet Corporation. Now a full blown tourist destination, you are bound to find a number of vendors and photographers around. But even then, the breathtaking views from this place are worth every disturbance.

Mines View Park, Baguio Reviews

  • Very nice place and very good views. Be careful with the guy with a St. Bernard dog. He is a ripper. Also don't buy souvenirs here, it's way too expensive. If you want Baguio shirts for your photo shoot in Mines View, better stop at the shops in Botanical Gardens before heading up to Mines View, they are way cheaper, souvenirs are cheaper here too.

  • At peak hours/season, the place gets crowded. If you want to enjoy sight seeing in peace, then you'd be disappointed. Also, touriats there do not have any discipline. There are random plastic wrappers and bottles strewn about the area

  • Good!! Has a lot of souvenir stores. I suggest you buy T-shirts here, they offer better choices than other areas.

  • Though there was a little clearing, we were astonished by the view on where this attraction is located. It was so serene that the fog made us thought that at one moment in time we are close to heaven. There was also a lot of cheap souvenir shops around the attraction. Lived the place...

  • Mines View Park is a must have in any tourist's itinerary visiting Baguio. Aside from it being easily accessible by vehicles, it has also lots of stores for souvenirs with affordable prices. You could also haggle with shop owners if you buy by bulk. It has also lots of shops selling potted plants and of course the costume shop that rents indigenous clothing. Though be careful going to the observatory since it becomes slippery when wet.
