About Mines View Park, Baguio

A good place to start your quest for gold, the Mines View Park is perhaps the most popular place in Baguio. The observation deck of the park offers stunning panoramas of the Amburayan valley. Approximately 5 kilometers from downtown Baguio, the Mines View Park overlooks abandoned copper and gold mines of the Benguet Corporation. Now a full blown tourist destination, you are bound to find a number of vendors and photographers around. But even then, the breathtaking views from this place are worth every disturbance.

Mines View Park, Baguio Reviews

  • One of the most visited tourist spot in Baguio and this is the third time that I have visited this place. There's better walkways as well compared to the last time I visited. I would really recommend though that you go here very early in the morning for 2 reasons: 1. The sunrise is breathtaking. 2. There will be less people meaning less photo bombers.

  • The place is great but be wary of those people asking you for photo ops with dogs. They offer 3 shots for P50. Be mindful especially when you already have 3 shots since they would still continue to take more shots without you knowing since they will somehow distract you. On the other hand, you can buy a lot of stuff inside the place for your families and friends. I would still recommend this place aside from having the chance to taste their strawberry taho for P30.

  • Not the way it used to be where you got a wonderful view. Now the view is peppered with a lot of houses which is painful to see. The walkway to the view deck is full of small stands selling their ware. There's a section where you can rent the mountain province costumes and take unlimited selfies/pictures for 20 pesos per person. Fantastic to see people taking pictures in costumes as it's very colorful! Wonderful smiles all around!

  • Nice place. Not much to do. With lots of plants to choose from and take home. Also, the museum of the crafts of the indigenous people is something. It makes me appreciate my culture more.

  • This is a really beautiful place. It is nice on the peak of the mountain. You have a complete view of the area. It is stunning to see the clouds touching the mountains and view the entire place. Highly recommended. Make sure you bring your warm clothes since it is cold here.
