Famous as the Fire Temple of Baku, the Ateshgah Of Baku is a religious temple located in suburban Surakhani town in Baku, Azerbaijan and resembles the structure of a castle. Built in the year 1975, this temple is based on Persian and Indian inscriptions and was previously used as a place of worship by the Zoroastrians, the Sikhs and the Hindus. Temple is open to the public Monday through Sunday between 0900 hours and 1800 hours and can be accessed at no entry charges. The place, ideal for a visit with your friends and family was also nominated for the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1988 for its enthralling beauty.
