Gala-gala Underground House Reviews & Ratings
Under ground house made by a local people of Lembongan. The making process took 15 years, started in year 60s. Mind your head when visiting, and dont forget to buy some cold drinks to support the family.
This place has awesome history behind. The cave are still great even there already build for long time ago.
Definitely underrated because this place was a random find on the map when I zoomed in super far trying to find somewhere local to hang out. Owned by one woman, only 50K rupiah to get in, and it’s this cool underground house with a maze of tunnels. She even has it lit up if needed to walk through if you’re afraid of the dark like me! You’ll have to scoot through a few alleys to get here though. :)
Nice to see when you are on the island. The story of the building is really interesting. There is not so much to see, the entrance/exit can be quite tricky and is not suitable for disabled or elderly persons. The cave is not too big and often you have to crawl. There is no fix entrance fee. Sometimes the guy at the entrance wants 25k and sometimes 50k per person...depends.
If I could give this place zero stars I would have done that. At first the place is very hard to find, no parking to scooters. Second the price varietes from person to person, we gave 100.000 IDR pr. Person. Third, the signing and the light in the underground house is very bad, and wires all over the place. My girlfriend got a shock on a wire, because there was so few spots of lights in the house. I like the history and the story about the house, and that’s why it gets one star.
